The North Wales racer finished eighth in the opening race despite being elbowed back to 15th place at the start and qualified a tremendous sixth fastest for the second race. Unfortunately, his second race ended early after a knock at the Island Hairpin damaged the car's rear suspension.
"I've learnt so much this weekend; it's been a great experience," said Singleton, who is currently sidelined from racing by lack of funds. "I wanted to be in the top five in the second race and I know I had the pace to do that. I got quicker every time I got in the car and it's opened my eyes about career options for the future." |
